Farewell to My Favorite Creative Goddess Maya Angelou

It’s with a saddened heart, I sit here to write these words. Despite the cause of the circumstance, I promise you that my words are intended to be a tribute, rather than another sad love song! Today, the world is united in mourning the death, of the great Maya Angelou! As tears gathering, boiling with sad emotions, ready to rocket down my cheeks, leaving the feel of a quick heat, which will soon pave the way for the river to flow…each steak, dripping with a deepened heart; I sit here and reflect on celebrating her life, and it’s impact on transforming millions.

Angelou, the poet, writer, songstress, empowerment powerhouse for women all over the globe – taught me how to continue to rise above the negative. Angelou has created a huge tidal wave of empowerment speakers, who try to captivate her essence with each interaction. I myself, am guilty of this. Maya is responsible for seeing me through many of my shituations, however serious – and keeping focused on the divine love of self.

Maya Angelou is the ideal embodiment of the Goddess. She is the soul culprit, responsible for making me rise to all occasions, challenges – no matter how big or small. Best know for her literary works, like I Know Why the Cage Bird Sings, The Heart of a Woman and And Still I Rise, Maya Angelou will truly be missed. She taught me how to be a “woman, PHENOMENALLY.” It is an absolute pleasure to live in a lifetime, where she did! Rest In Peace, sweet Maya, your legacy will live eternally!

I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.

I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them when they’re gone from your life.

I’ve learned that making a “living” is not the same thing as making a “life.”

I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.

I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back.

I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.

I’ve learned that even when I have pains, I don’t have to be one.

I’ve learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.

I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn.

I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
